Color possibilities for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have leaked online ahead of their planned release next month. These phones are expected to be lighter due to the usage of a new chassis material, and they will include a few notable hardware advancements over their predecessors. This year, both Pro models may be outfitted with Apple’s rumored 3nm A17 Bionic CPU for enhanced performance and battery efficiency, while the top-tier iPhone 15 Pro Max model may include a new periscope camera with improved optical zoom.
According to 9to5Mac, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will not be available in Gold or Deep Purple. While the purple colorway debuted with the iPhone 14 Pro lineup last year, Cupertino has been releasing Pro models in Gold for the previous five years. According to the source, while these color options have been dropped, they will be replaced with a Dark Blue and Titan Gray color option in addition to the existing Space Black and Silver colorways.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman earlier reported that Apple intends to replace the stainless steel chassis in the iPhone 15 Pro variants with a new titanium chassis. This should increase the durability of the next phones while decreasing their total weight. Apple could debut the iPhone 15 series on September 12, according to Gurman.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be available in Black, Blue, Green, Pink, and Yellow, according to the rumor. The business is likely to replace the proprietary Lightning port on all iPhone 15 models with a USB Type-C port. The Dynamic Island, which debuted on last year’s Pro versions, is claimed to be present on all four models.
The iPhone 15 series of smartphones is finally expected to allow greater data transmission speeds with the arrival of the USB Type-C port – if claims that they would support Thunderbolt/ USB 4 connectivity are correct, the handsets may offer transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps. The handsets may also enable up to 35W electrical charging via the current USB connector.
